Biography

Dr. Michael Moses is an orthopedic surgeon with a specialization in hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder surgery.  Dr. Moses has recently joined OSS with stellar academic and training achievements and high peer accolades.

Dr. Moses has an extensive track record of exceptional performance.  He graduated Princeton University with notable academic honors. He subsequently attended the NYU School of Medicine on a full tuition merit scholarship and graduated in three years. Dr. Moses then completed his orthopaedic surgical training in New York City’s very busy private and public hospitals. He completed his medical training at the world renowned Cleveland Clinic where he mastered subspecialty skills in hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder surgery. 

Dr. Moses holds these accomplishments:

  • Published more than 30 journals (articles) in just 6 years of his orthopaedic training, presented at professional conferences (e.g., annual conference for American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Society for Surgery of the Hand) and contributed to medical textbooks. 
  • Awarded Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude at Princeton University. 
  • Awarded the Larry and Klara Silverstein Merit Scholarship and Alpha Omega Alpha at New York University Medical School.
  • Invited into the Gold Humanism Honor Society at NYU School of Medicine.
  • Granted the Kaufman Award for Pediatric Orthopaedic Research.

Dr. Moses’s journey starts with music – composing scores and performing opera. Additionally, while in New York City, he cared for many of the dancers and performers of Broadway, the Alvin Ailey Dance Company, and other theater companies. His personal interests are rooted in classical music, the opera, travelling, hiking, bike riding, cooking. Dr. Moses also speaks Hebrew and Spanish.  

Finally, while learning in the classroom and during his training, he continuously gave back to the communities that helped cultivate his interests.  These organizations include: Cleveland Orchestra Chorus, Beth Israel Medical Center’s Louis Armstrong Center for Music and Medicine, and Brothers and Sisters in Science.
