My approach to care….

I am an Orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty training in hand and upper-extremity surgery. I specialize in arthritis surgery of the elbow, wrist, and hand. I have a special interest in the management of arthritis involving the base of the thumb, and I completed my training where the standard of care for this condition was established. My practice scope also includes:

- Trauma and fracture care in children and adults
- Arthroscopic surgery of the upper extremity
- Reconstructive surgery of the upper extremity
- Nerve and small vessel repair and reconstruction
- Industrial injuries of the upper extremity

I am committed to providing the highest level of care for musculoskeletal and neurovascular conditions of the upper limb. After an appropriate diagnosis has been made, treatment is geared towards restoration of function, pain control, and return back to pre-injury activity level. I believe in a multidisciplinary approach and always maximize conservative treatment before considering surgery. My philosophy includes state-of-the-art techniques in physical and occupational therapy, complementary modalities and surgery when necessary. I prescribe medication when needed and strongly recommend the use of nutritional supplements.
